LFR Test With Davide Amaduzzi a Success
Lee Faulk Racing started it's brutal pre season testing schedule last week with it's newest driver, Davide Amaduzzi at the wheel.
Davide flew from Italy to test the #115 LFR Chevrolet at Hickory Speedway. The test was just the first of many opportunities the team will have to work with Davide in the coming years.
"We were very pleased at where Davide is at this point," said Lee Faulk. "He took to this type of car very well, and is at a solid starting point to begin his NASCAR career."
Davide has a lot of experience in racing, most of which was done overseas in open wheel cars. Other than a short stint in an ARCA truck at Salem, his stock car experience has been limited.
Davide and the team are currently in negotiations to iron out the details and map out exactly how many races/tests he will participate in this season and next. This seems to be the beginning of a long term deal with the driver and the new team.
"It looks like we will try to run Davide in a handful of races this year to prepare for a run at the championship with him next year in Late Model Stock," Faulk said.
LFR has been sucessful as of late in extending its development program overseas, signing drivers from Italy, Brazil and Venezuela over the past two years. This seems to be a trend in NASCAR that is growing rapidly and the team looks to be on the cutting edge. Not only is the team bringing talent from overseas, they are developing that talent faster than most and preparing them well for the next level. This was proven as former LFR driver Nelson Canache Jr., from Venezuela signed with Venturini Motorsports to run a full ARCA schedule and also competed in the Rolex 24 hours of Daytona for APR Motorsports.
