CARS Announces United Way as Title Sponsor for Hickory Race

The Championship Auto Racing Series would like to announce Catawba County United Way as the title sponsor of the October 8th event at Hickory Motor Speedway.

Catawba County United Way and CARS Pro Cup have formed a partnership to promote the October 8th event and STOP Hunger in Catawba County.

The Catawba County United Way will be sponsoring a food drive at Hickory Motor Speedway, where patrons may bring one non-perishable food item to the track from now through Oct 5th and in exchange, they will receive $5 off a general admission ticket to the CARS Pro Cup race on Oct 8th.

“We are especially pleased to have the opportunity to partner with the CARS Pro Cup Racing Series not only for a fun, family event but to collect food for the food banks in Catawba County.  The food collected at this event will go a long way in feeding the hungry in Catawba County. Additionally, through CARS  Pro Cup  support of our community they are donating a portion of the ticket sales in order to support the programs funded by the Catawba County United Way in 2012” said Sylvia Long, Director of Community Impact, Catawba County United Way.

Pizza Hut will serve as the presenting sponsor of the Catawba County United Way 200. For more information about Catawba County United Way visit http://www.ccunitedway.com
