Double H Ranch Campers Along for a Daytona Ride

When ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards driver Ed Pompa hits Daytona International Speedway for Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell today, he won't be alone.

About 30 campers from The Double H Ranch in Lake Luzerne, N.Y. - about 30 miles from Pompa's residence in Ballston Spa - have signed a decal on the trunk of Pompa's Milwaukee Crusher/Double H Ranch Chevrolet. The decal will ride on Pompa's car for qualifying today and tomorrow's Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200, set to air live on SPEED at 4:30.

"I'm still raising money for The Double H Ranch through my ARCA racing," said Pompa. "Milwaukee Crusher, The Gorman Group, Milton CAT, Pompa Bros., Inc., GCR Tire Centers, Biondi Rigging, Park East Sales, John Ray & Sons, and HMA Contracting have all made donations to the Double H through this sponsorship program. So far they have made donations totaling over $11,000.

"The campers from Double H Ranch are really excited about having their name on a race car. These kids have had such a hard time, with various medical problems, so something as little as this really makes their day. I'm glad to be able to do something to lift their spirits."

Pompa will use Saturday's race to gauge his plans for the rest of the season.

"I'll see how Daytona goes, and plan other races for 2012 after that," he said. "I would like to go back to Pocono, especially since it's being repaved. I will keep working on getting other companies to join my marketing program with the Double H Ranch."

Pompa thanked T-Shirt Graphics for helping with the trunk decal's layout and printing.
